If you search the internet for the word “hated”, you will probably get the RAE definition and then a picture of Borja Escalona. This gentleman, who has become famous on YouTube, often stars in virals where he tenses the situation to unsuspected limits.
His modus operandi is to always tighten the rope with certain tricks to try to get his way. He almost never succeeds, but it is true that he gains fame on his YouTube channel, where he tries to monetize the content.
The last video that has gone viral of him shows us this person in an optician’s shop where he tries to steal a pair of sunglasses. His way of proceeding is always the same.
Borja Escalona’s 15,000 euros promo, the scam
This person always has the same way of proceeding in his channel (which we do not link here because we do not agree with the way he treats the people who appear in his videos) and with the excuse of: promotion.
In this occasion -and in all the previous times- Borja Escalona enters a store, this time an optician’s, and tries on some glasses. After a few initial moments of joking, he tries to take them for his face.
When the employees tell him no, that he has to pay for the glasses, he claims that by appearing in a video in his store he is promoting the store and that they owe him 15,000 euros. He excuses himself that it is a tacit agreement because he is recording for his YouTube channel.

When they tell him no, to leave them in place or to pay for them, he runs out saying that he has the right to do so and that otherwise he will sue them for the 15,000 euros.
Luckily, at the end of the video the employee manages to stop him and recovers the glasses (the latter has transcended, since the subject always stops the recording before so that they do not see how he has to apologize to the employees for the embarrassment caused).
