Cameron Diaz to bid farewell to Hollywood with her next and final Netflix movie

A new Hollywood star is about to be extinguished forever. Cameron Diaz, the actress who raised passions in the nineties and filled theaters with films like The Mask, My Best Friend’s Wedding, Something About Mary or Gangs of New York has announced that she will retire after her next film to be released in early 2024 on Netflix.

That Cameron Diaz is retiring is not news. In fact, she was already officially retired. In 2014, after releasing No two without three, the actress stepped away from acting. However, Diaz surprised everyone when she announced her participation in Back in action, an action-comedy film original to the platform and starring alongside Jamie Foxx.

Cameron Diaz wants to focus on being a mother

As reported by the Daily Mail, Cameron Diaz’s return to the screen has been momentary. Apparently, she wants to enjoy her time as a mother and the time consumed by filming is too much for her to live with peace of mind.

“These back-to-back 10-hour work days have been too much for her and she hates being away from Raddix [her daughter]. Cameron loves being a mom more than anything in the world,” explains the anonymous source consulted by the media.

Added to this would be the drama that has taken place in the filming of this movie, which apparently has been very eventful. Apparently, Jamie Foxx got angry with several people during production and ended up firing part of the team. This would have created a lot of frustration and hostility on the set, generating that the climate was seriously clouded.

Still, the source also clarifies that the relationship between Diaz and Foxx is excellent, and that they have been friends since they starred in Any Given Sunday in 1999. In fact, they joined forces again in 2014 in the remake of the children’s musical Annie.
