Cate Blanchett and Selena Gomez will star in an X-rated movie. And no, it's not clickbait

After The Brutalist was present throughout last year’s awards season, eyes turned to its director, Brady Corbet, who until that moment had made very niche cinema.
Films like Vox Lux or The Childhood of a Leader were not exactly mainstream, and they made the world discover someone bold and capable, at 37 years old, of shaking up the industry. What no one imagined was what his next step would be.
Wow, how silly
For now, we don’t know much about their new project, except that it will have an exceptional cast, including Selena Gomez, Michael Fassbender, and Cate Blanchett, who has confirmed her appearance.
The curious thing is that it will be an X-rated movie (that is, prohibited for those under 18) set in the 70s. Just because it is rated X does not mean there will be pornography; it can receive that rating for violence, language, or simply pushing the limits too far.
Corbet has stated that “The film takes place from the 19th century to the present day, although it predominantly focuses on the 70s. It challenges the genre a lot, a lot“. So much so that it will use extremely rare 65mm cameras. Things of artists, you know. Oh! And if you expect it to calm down with the duration after having to include an intermission in The Brutalist to go to the bathroom, I’m afraid it won’t meet your expectations.
Corbet has already confirmed that the script has 200 pages, 35 more than The Brutalist, which ended up lasting three and a half hours. Come on, it’s an incredible moment to try adult diapers, because this is going to be a long one, and with that cast and that director… Let’s see who is smart enough to risk missing even a few minutes!
