Stranger Things is in a worrying hiatus. After the writers’ strike, Netflix has already started to move forward with the fifth season, but most likely we won’t see it even next year. Be that as it may, while we wait we can go making guesses from what we have seen now, and the most important thing we have discovered lately is that all the deaths seen so far have been Vecna’s doing.
The great villain of Stranger Things has been killing all kinds of people since the first season, either through his own appearance or through Demogorgons he controlled himself. But let’s count, who exactly has Vecna killed?
1. All those in the Rainbow Room
In season 4 of Stranger Things we see the conversion of Vecna, and also how this character ends the lives of the staff of the Rainbow Room where Eleven was also raised. But not only that: she wiped out all the employees of Hawkins Laboratory and up to fifteen children who were growing up with Millie Bobby Brown’s character.

2. All victims of the Azotamentes
Season 3 introduced us to an unseen enemy called El Azotamentes, who was in charge of possessing the inhabitants of Hawkins to do whatever Vecna himself wanted. Without a doubt, season 3 featured some of the strongest massacres of the entire series, and ultimately it was all the fault of this villain. Billy Hargrove, of course, was the one we loved the most out of all of them.

3. Jason Carver, Chrissy Cunningham and Fred Benson
In the fourth season of Stranger Things we saw how Vecna was getting new victims who suffered great hallucinations until they perished. Jason Carver, Chrissy Cunningham and Fred Benson were three of those we met, but there were more, and they were all because of the villain Vecna, who already had his sights set on the young people of Hawkins.

4. The Creel family
Vecna’s first major victims were none other than his family. In season 4 of the series we saw what his history with them is, and of course what he does is so traumatizing that we are not surprised that he ended up becoming a great villain.

5. Bob Newby
Undoubtedly, one of the deaths that affected us the most was Bob’s in season two. Joyce Byers’ boyfriend stood by her and her family’s side throughout, but was eventually shaken by the Demoperros controlled by Vecna. A shame, no doubt.

6. Eddie Munson
But the death that affected us the most is Eddie’s in the last season. The Hellfire Club’s freaky leader sacrificed himself to buy his teammates time in their fight against Vecna, and there’s no doubt that his sacrifice was not in vain.
