Yesterday, Wednesday, March 22, one of the events of the year 2023 took place, one of those news that will be kept in a special place in the newspaper library: the announcement of Counter-Strike 2.

More than a decade later, Valve announced the launch of the long-awaited sequel to the saga. Among all the news presented, there are many to highlight, such as the fact that it will be released in the summer of this year, that all the content of Counter-Strike: Global Offensive will be available for those who already bought it and even that there is already access to a beta. And this last point in question is where we want to stop.

The Counter-Strike 2 beta is not available to everyone. Now, you might be one of the chosen ones. Basically, to find out if you’ve hit the jackpot when it comes to testing Valve’s new game, all you have to do is open your Steam account and see if the company has selected you to start the testing period. It’s that easy… and random.

Logically, the players who are being given prior access are those who have already spent many hours of gameplay and experience with the title. In this way, the newest players are relegated to the background (we repeat, we believe that this is logical, since the regular players are rewarded).

On the other hand, it should be noted that to access this beta phase it will be necessary to update the version of the game. After all, Counter-Strike 2 will be offered completely free of charge for users who own CS:GO.

If you want to know all the news related to the launch of Counter-Strike 2, we invite you to read the dedicated article with all the announcements.
