Curious to see the new Lord of the Rings movie? Here are the first 8 minutes

On December 13, The Lord of the Rings: The War of the Rohirrim premieres in theaters, an animated film by Warner that seeks to bring back the epic of Peter Jackson’s trilogy in a way we’ve never seen before. The film will have a hard time standing out among so many great winter releases, but thanks to the brand behind it, its success is more than likely.

So far, we had received several trailers where you can see in detail what this War of the Rohirrim is like. However, now we can see much more of the movie thanks to an exclusive preview that presents, mind you, the first eight minutes of the movie. Without a doubt, the epic is guaranteed:

A movie to rule them all

Set 183 years before the events of the original The Lord of the Rings trilogy, the film focuses on Helm Hammerhand, legendary king of Rohan, and his struggle to defend his kingdom against Wulf, a Dunlending leader seeking revenge for his father’s death. The plot shows how Helm and his people make a last desperate stand at the fortress of Hornburg, later known as Helm’s Deep.
