Dave the Diver surpasses 10 million copies sold

Dave the Diver is one of the most popular games in recent years. Released in early access on October 27, 2022 on Steam, officially released on June 28, 2023, it has had subsequent releases on consoles and mobile platforms to great success. So much so that now its developers, MINTROCKET, are celebrating a success that is generally reserved for titles from major studios. It has reached 10 million copies sold.

The game is a singular mix of underwater exploration and sushi restaurant management. By day we’ll have to go out and explore the oceans to catch all kinds of sea creatures and fish, as well as discover mysterious ancient artifacts. At night we’ll have to manage a sushi restaurant with what we’ve managed to catch and keep our customers happy, earning money so we can keep exploring the seas.

A hit with critics and players, Dave the Diver perfectly fuses these two styles of play into an addictive gameplay loop that still feels fresh years later. Thanks in part to expansions and unique collaborations, such as its Godzilla crossover. That helps explain those ten million sales.
