Fortnite is not the only game that has constant and unexpected collaborations. Dead by Daylight is not far behind in that regard. It is true that this hit game by Behaviour Interactive, by sticking to horror, rarely does things that are out of place within the game’s universe, which we can’t always say about Epic’s game. And certainly, we can’t say that about their latest collaboration, which is extremely appropriate.
To celebrate its tenth anniversary, Five Nights At Freddy’s is coming to Dead by Daylight. But don’t get ahead of yourself, because we’re afraid that’s all the information we have for now. Or almost all. Because the collaboration between Dead By Daylight and Five Nights at Freddy’s is announced to be released in the summer of 2025. In a year. So we still have plenty of time to speculate about what’s to come. And if it will be much more than just the inclusion of a map, a killer, and a survivor.
Meanwhile, it’s not like Dead by Daylight fans are going to go hungry. The studio has just announced that their next collaboration is with one of the great video game franchises: Castlevania. Introducing Dracula as a new killer and Trevor Belmont as a survivor, these characters can already be enjoyed on the public test server. Although if you want to play with them on your regular account, you’ll still have to wait until August 27th.
At the same time, the next game set in the Dead by Daylight universe is just around the corner. Developed by Supermassive Game, the people behind Until Dawn and The Quarry, it will invite us to follow four aspiring young filmmakers as they encounter a legendary killer who was supposed to have disappeared long ago. All this on September 3rd for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, and PC.
That’s why, even though we will still have to wait a long time to know more about the collaboration between Dead by Daylight and Five Nights at Freddy, that doesn’t mean that the game will lack content. Because if there’s one thing Behaviour Interactive can promise, it’s that their universe is, more than ever, alive and developing smoothly.
