Blizzard has laid out its Diablo IV promotion for BlizzCon 2026 ahead of the September 12-13 event. So if you’ve seen posts saying the game is free until September 15, that isn’t what Blizzard is offering. The promotion page points to Twitch Drops, not a free full-game giveaway.
Over the September 12-13 BlizzCon 2026 weekend, Blizzard says you can pick up Serrated Skean after 2 hours, Corroded Cleaver after 4, and Tintinnabulation after 6 by watching eligible Twitch streams. There’s also a Diablo Twitch badge if you subscribe, or gift a sub, to a participating creator.
Blizzard is also selling two paid bundles. The $29.99 Diablo IV BlizzCon Bundle includes the Streamsnout pet, the Indigo cat mount, and Escapeproof armor. Then there’s the $49.99 Ultimate Collection, which adds Indigo’s Light, Indigo’s Master, and other Blizzard items. Blizzard also says that Ultimate bundle comes free with an in-person BlizzCon 2026 event pass.
And September 15 still matters. Blizzard has lined up Season 15, Season of Hell’s Legacy, for that date, along with the Nintendo Switch 2 release of Diablo IV: Age of Hatred Collection, which includes the base game plus Vessel of Hatred and Lord of Hatred.
BlizzCon also teased an Amazon class for early 2027 and Diablo 5 for 2029, so if you keep up with Diablo, these freebies are probably worth claiming. You’ll get the Twitch Drops through Twitch during BlizzCon 2026, while the paid bundles are available directly from Blizzard.
