Dishonored was named best game at last night’s at the BAFTA Video Game Awards 2013, beating nominees Far Cry 3, FIFA 13, Journey, Mass Effect 3 and The Walking Dead.

However,  it was the PlayStation 3 game Journey that took home most awards, followed by The Walking Dead and The Unfinished Swan both winning two.

When the nominations were announced last month, there was some surprise to see Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 in the category for ‘Innovation’, but in the end that went to The Unfinished Swan.

In general there was much more support for indie games at the Baftas than we saw at the Spike Video Game Awards in December, with even my personal favorite from 2012 New Star Soccer getting recognition.

Here is the full list of winners:

  • Best Game: Dishonored
  • Online Multiplayer: Journey
  • Game Design: Journey
  • Artistic Achievement: Journey
  • Original Music: Journey
  • Audio Achievement: Journey
  • Mobile & Handheld: The Walking Dead
