Disney+ adds TikTok-style creator videos: Verts starts August 5
Global TikTok partnership also launches Disney's Creator Ambassador Program

Disney and TikTok just made a global deal: starting August 5, 2026, select creator videos built with assets from Disney, Pixar, Marvel, and Star Wars will show up on both TikTok and Disney+. That includes “Verts,” a new vertical feed inside Disney+, plus a Disney Creator Ambassador Program aimed at creators.
For Disney+ viewers, the part that really stands out is “Verts.” It’s a swipeable vertical stream of Disney-approved creator clips. Alongside it, Disney is launching the Creator Ambassador Program, which gives creators a more direct way in and gives Disney a cheaper, more reliable stream of content to fill the gaps between big releases.
And the timing isn’t random. Disney pulled the plug on Marvel’s Wonder Man just days ago, even though the show premiered in January 2026 to strong reviews, got renewed in March, and even picked up Emmy attention for Yahya Abdul-Mateen II. Put next to this partnership, it starts to look like Disney is leaning harder toward scale, discovery, and steady engagement, and a little less toward prestige.
If you’ve been paying attention to Disney’s streaming playbook, this one deserves a close look. TikTok says users shared 6.5 million film and TV posts a day last year. It also says nearly half of surveyed viewers ended up watching something after coming across it there. That kind of reach matters, especially with younger audiences Disney keeps trying to hold onto.
So yes, you’re going to see this creator content in both places, with “Verts” rolling out on Disney+ as part of the push.
