In recent years, we have received very interesting proposals from Bandai NAMCO as far as Dragon Ball games are concerned. Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot was the best example, with what many considered the definitive title of the saga. Dragon Ball FighterZ is also a fan favorite, becoming a reference fighting title.

However, there is one saga of Dragon Ball video games that remains the most successful of the franchise, and that many missed: Dragon Ball Z Budokai Tenkaichi. With three games released from 2005 to 2007, it became the saga most remembered by many fans of the saga. And, although there was an attempt to continue with the failed Ultimate Tenkaichi, it has finally been announced what everyone has been waiting for years: the release of Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi 4.

What do we know about Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi 4?

During the Dragon Ball Games Battle Hour event, the surprise that fans were eagerly awaiting was revealed. Although it has been a long time coming, Bandai Namco has finally listened to the requests and has confirmed the development of Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi 4. The presentation has featured a teaser trailer that is now available for all of you to see.

The clip opens with several sequences from previous installments, encapsulated in a tube television. Then, Goku takes over the screen and transforms into Super Saiyan God Blue. The graphical leap is striking, something logical considering that several generations have passed since the release of Dragon Ball Tenkaichi 3, which saw the light of day on PlayStation 2 and Wii.

There is very little information available about the game at this time. Bandai Namco has not revealed a release date or provided specific details. It has also not been confirmed whether the original studio, Spike Chunsoft, will be involved in this new instalment. We’ll have to wait for the first official news to be released. In the meantime, it’s not a bad idea to dust off the classic games to catch up.
