Dune: Awakening public test client now adds single-player mode on PC

Funcom has updated the Dune: Awakening public test client on PC with two additions ahead of their full release on September 22: a new single-player mode and a reworked character selection flow.

The studio says this test build offers an early look at the changes coming in the broader September 22 rollout. The new solo mode gives players a way to explore Arrakis at their own pace, get familiar with the game’s survival systems without other players bearing down on them, or just play in a less social way.

The redesigned character selection screen is a smaller tweak, though it should still make logging in feel cleaner and easier to move through, especially for returning players.
