Eurovision 2023 is getting closer and closer. Specifically, it will be on May 13 when we will know the winner of the 67th edition of the festival, to be held in Liverpool. This year, 37 songs will fight for a place on the podium in Europe.
Here you will find songs and genres for all tastes: ballads, electronic, dance, boybands, flamenco, etc. As every year, Eurovision fans have ventured into social networks to choose their favorite candidates and have already begun to place bets. At the moment, there is one country that is starting to stand out from the rest: Sweden. However, a good Eurofan knows everything can change during the day of the performance.
What do the betting odds say about the top of Eurovision 2023?
Although nothing is certain, thanks to social networks, surveys and polls, we can know firsthand which are the favorite songs to win the contest. In fact, the Eaea of our Blanca Paloma is positioned as one of the favorites of Eurovision 2023.
However, this year we will see again an artist who already knows what it is to win at Eurovision: Loreen. After winning in 2012 with Euphoria, the singer will represent Sweden this year with Tattoo, a song that has become the favorite to win. As if that were not enough, the song also bears the signature of the same authors who in the past were in charge of Euphoria (Thomas G. Son and Peter Boström).
On the other hand we have Finland with their Cha Cha Cha. Käärijä has managed to catch the public’s attention and it is believed that this year, the Scandinavians could surprise with a great place in Liverpool. Ukraine, however, falls into the favorites: TVORCHI getting the country’s second consecutive win is looking like an increasingly distant possibility. But who knows if Heart of Steel can pull off a surprise?
In which position would Blanca Paloma be placed?
During the celebration of Benidorm Fest 2023, the singer from Elche won her candidacy for Eurovision. Eaea combines bulería with lullaby and is a song full of symbolism and a lot of emotion. However, the most special of all is the tribute to her grandmother Carmen, one of the most important people in her life. So much so that during the Benidorm Fest, she appeared wearing a “hug” of bangs that represented the protection of her grandmother.
As of today, Eeae is one of the five favorite songs to win in the bookmakers. Blanca’s performance during the Barcelona Eurovision Party was so impressive that it allowed her to unseat the representative of Israel, Noa Kirel with Unicorn.
On the other hand, the United Kingdom has also bet big this year with its representative, Mae Muller. The BBC chose this London composer internally and she will compete in Eurvision with the pop song I Wrote a Song. Will she manage to beat the great position obtained by Sam Ryder’s SPACE MAN?
