Facebook has updated its iOS application with a video recording feature within the application. Users will be greeted with a new option when choosing to add a photo. There is now a slider within the camera to switch to video mode. Perhaps this is the duplicate functionality that Facebook has claimed Twitter’s Vine was infringing on with its updated 3rd party application policy.
Another update within the Facebook app for iOS is the ability to record and share voice messages with people in your friends list. Previously, this ability was only available to Facebook Messenger users but it has now been ported over to the main Facebook app so users will not require two apps. Still, Facebook Messenger is a more streamlined messaging application that some users may prefer.
