Facebook Home, the app that turns your Android into a Facebook focused device, has been updated and now allows you to organize your applications into folders. This was surprisingly not possible before, and had contributed to the poor user reviews on Google Play.

To create an app folder, simply drag one icon onto another. The update also allows you to store the app on an external SD card, another feature many users had been asking for. Can these changes halt Facebook Home’s slide in the Android app rankings?

Facebook Home currently stands outside the top 500 apps in the store – that it was ever in the top 50 is impressive as it was only available for top end Android devices upon launch. However, since then Facebook Home has failed to capitalize as compatible phones like the Galaxy S4 and HTC One have increased their market share.

The poor user reviews have complained about poor functionality and that the app is too invasive, changing too much of the Android experience. Facebook has been addressing those criticisms since launch, making Home a much better app, but it is still failing to convince enough people that they need more Facebook on their phones.
