Facebook is testing an automatic Trip Slideshow feature

Facebook is testing a ‘Trip Slideshow‘ feature, which works similarly to the company’s Year in Review feature.
Various people have reported seeing the feature upon returning from a trip. It’s created automatically, requiring no interaction from users. It’s likely to use your location data to tell when you’ve been on holiday, so if you don’t have that feature turned on, Facebook might not be able to tell you’ve been on a trip.
Facebook user Alesandro Simić made a YouTube video of the Trip Slideshow, so you can see it in action below:
Facebook often tests new features with small groups of users, and just because one has been seen ‘in the wild’, doesn’t mean it will eventually come to all users. We recently saw a test regarding scheduled deletion of your posts, but nothing has been seen of that since.
