With today’s release of iOS 7, tons of apps are getting updated to support the new look and feel of the operating system. Facebook has updated its app with a new look and feel, featuring a new bottom menu bar with access to your News Feed, Requests, Messages, Notifications, and more. The app has been redesigned to take advantage of the transparent menu bar at the top, changing color to whatever section you’re currently browsing.

Facebook has moved the navigation buttons to the bottom of the app to make it easier to switch between sections of the app. Previously, users had to tap on a button at the top left of the screen to access the navigation column. The new bottom buttons bring Facebook’s most used features front and center from anywhere within the app. Tapping on the “More” button in the bar will bring up additional sections for Timeline, groups, events, and other Facebook features.
Unfortunately, the iPad version of Facebook functions exactly the same as the old version, requiring users to tap on the menu button to access features beyond Requests, Messages, and Notifications.
