'Fast & Furious' is picking up speed and is set to become not one, but four high-octane television series

Yes, right. As if Hollywood was going to close and end a multimillion-dollar saga just like that. Since its premiere in 2001 until now, the eleven Fast & Furious movies have grossed 7467 million costing about seven times less. Obviously, no matter how much they have announced with great fanfare that the next one would be the end (not counting the spin-offs, of course), we all know they are going to try to stretch it as much as they can.
TV Fast TV Furious
It has been Vin Diesel himself, the driving force behind the saga, who has announced that we will have a television series. It couldn’t be any other way. What’s the excuse? Of course, the fans. “Over the last decade we have realized that fans want more. They want us to expand the classic characters, their stories. And over the last decade, we have wanted to enter the television space.” And just coinciding with the end, they have come up with a way to continue. What a coincidence, huh?
According to Diesel, before approving the series he wanted to be sure that “the integrity of the characters, the international interest, what makes us feel like a family would be protected on television“. Oh, did I say “series”? I meant “series”. In total, four new adventures starring different characters from Fast & Furious. Well, that’s what Diesel has claimed, because Variety has said that for now it’s one, and the rest we will see later.
It is worth remembering that there was already a series from the Fast & Furious universe, Spy Racers, which lasted six seasons between 2019 and 2021, although there are doubts about its canonicity to this day. Will these new attempts to bring racing, heists, and adventure to the small screen face the same danger? Let’s speed up, as this looks promising.
