Square Enix has given several joys today to all fans of Final Fantasy XVI. To begin with, the company has confirmed that it will be released on PC, something that was already known from the creators, but not through the company itself. However, the first of the big surprises is that we won’t have to wait long: Final Fantasy XVI will be available on PC on September 17th.
Additionally, further second news will delight everyone: you can now download a PC demo of the game. This way, you just have to go to the Steam or Epic Games Store page to try Clive’s adventure.
As usual, Square Enix has offered different editions of the game to purchase. On one hand, the Standard Edition, which includes the main game; on the other hand, the Complete Edition, which also comes with the downloadable chapters “Echoes of the Fallen” and “The Rising Tide,” released later on PS5. Both editions are currently on sale.
Anyone interested in buying the downloadable chapters separately or as part of the expansion pass will be able to do so at launch. All pre-orders include the Heroic Blade (weapon), the Cait Sith Pendant (accessory for more gil), and the “Sixteen Bells” Music Scroll.
Just like with the demo released for PlayStation 5 at the time, all the played content will be able to be kept for when Final Fantasy XVI is released. Therefore, we won’t have to replay the game’s prologue during Clive’s adolescence, a playable part that lasts for over two hours. The rest is nothing more than enjoying a great adventure.
