Fortnite Override launches August 20: Cyberpunk 2077 arrives

Fortnite Chapter 7 Season 4, Override, goes live on August 20, 2026, and brings Cyberpunk 2077 into Fortnite’s larger Gaming Legends crossover run.

So if you were expecting new Cyberpunk 2077 DLC, this isn’t that. Override is a Fortnite seasonal update, with Night City-inspired characters, weapons, and cosmetics folded into it, and both trailers and leaks suggest Cyberpunk 2077 is one of the season’s biggest crossover draws.

The leaked additions include a male V skin, the HJSH-18 Masamune, the TKI-20 Shingen, and possibly the Porsche 911 Turbo. If that list turns out to be accurate, this would be the third Fortnite x Cyberpunk 2077 collaboration.

If big crossover drops are why you keep coming back to Fortnite, this update looks worth checking out, especially since CD Projekt Red is clearly trying to keep Cyberpunk 2077 in the spotlight after its comeback and the success of Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty. The reaction online has been mostly positive so far, though most of the conversation is centered on skins and cosmetics rather than gameplay, and coverage outside Western communities is still fairly limited.
