Game of Thrones: Legends gets *A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms* on September 30, not HBO
Dunk and Egg join the Scattered Banners faction in-game

Zynga updated its free-to-play mobile puzzle RPG Game of Thrones: Legends on September 30, and the headline addition is an A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms crossover, not a new TV season.
So if those headlines made you look twice, that’s the catch: Game of Thrones: Legends, which Zynga launched in 2024, is adding Dunk and Egg from HBO’s prequel.
HBO’s A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms premiered on January 18, 2026, ran for six episodes through February, and has already been renewed. But season 2 isn’t arriving this month; at the moment, it’s expected in 2027.
Zynga says Ser Duncan the Tall and Egg are joining the new Scattered Banners faction, which gives players another way back into George R.R. Martin’s Tales of Dunk and Egg while they wait.
Egg is also getting I Would Not Leave You Ser, an iconic item that boosts healing, cleanses debuffs, grants Block, passively heals allies when Critical Strike Chance buffs are active, and applies Fire to enemies that land skill criticals.
If what you liked about the show was its smaller, lighter, character-driven version of Westeros, more than the dragons, wars, and court politics, this crossover is probably worth picking up. Just don’t lose sight of what it is, too: the usual franchise engagement and revenue push, complete with in-app purchases.
You can get the update now in Game of Thrones: Legends on mobile.
