At the end of 2019, Electronic Arts and Respawn Entertainment surprised us all with the release of Star Wars: Jedi Fallen Order, that game set in the Star Wars universe where the Uncharted touch was mixed, the exploration more Tomb Raider and a combat system that reminded to some extent – with many quotation marks, we already say it – to the Souls, especially for the theme parrys, blocks, etc..

The first part was successful enough so that the American company did not have to think about whether to launch a sequel or not: it was clear that the answer was yes. EA ended up confirming Star Wars: Jedi Survivor, a game we have known just enough about… until today!

If we were looking forward to see a little bit more about the long-awaited sequel, this one has really blown it out of the water: Electronic Arts has released a whopping 9 minutes of gameplay from Star Wars Jedi: Survivor. Until before this video, which has been published exclusively by IGN, we had barely seen a couple of minutes of gameplay (and to top it off, interspersed with cinematic footage), but now this is worthy of grabbing some popcorn and sitting on the couch to enjoy it (and even more so being in 4K).

In the gameplay we can see everything that Fallen Order already proposed, but on a new scale. In fact, it is surprising to see that the scenarios are now more open, giving the feeling of greater freedom in the environment both to explore (in the video you can see less scripted moments of climbing and platforming) and to face enemies.

As for the latter, the gameplay shows elements already characteristic of their combat, such as the character’s dash to dodge attacks, the parry to counterattack or the more standard block. Of course, all seasoned with a more frenetic fighting style thanks to the laser swords.

We are looking forward to continuing Carl Kestis‘ journey. However, we will have to wait until April 28, 2023. We must not forget that it was delayed by one month.
