Every time a new Nintendo Direct arrives, the same question always comes up: “But are these games coming to PC? And the answer is usually the same: “Yes, many of them will be coming to compatibles”. Although they are announced at the Japanese company’s show, this does not mean that they will stay there exclusively, as is well known.
Today we are going to make a summary with all the games from the Nintendo Direct that will also come to PC. And there are quite a few.
Sea of Stars
For the server that writes this article, one of the most awaited videogames of this 2023: Sea of Stars. The work developed by the creators of The Messenger will be released this coming August 29 with all the meat on the grill: a dreamy pixel art graphics, an impressive soundtrack by Yasunori Mitsuda and an RPG combat system by tuno that reminds us of the best of the genre. There are so many conditions for it to be one of the bombshells after having tried its demo that we can’t wait for the summer.
Etrian Odyssey Origins Collection
Another classic RPG that returns to the limelight: Etrian Odyssey. In this case, with a collection of the first three games remastered in HD. Its release on PC is scheduled for June 1, with the possibility of buying the three in a pack or get them individually. Of course, each one is 40 euros, while the pack is 80 euros. Not cheap…
Dead Cells: Return to Castlevania
The brand new downloadable content for Dead Cells based on the Castlevania universe will also be on PC, of course. To enjoy the adventures of Alucard and company in this universe we will have to wait very little: until March 6. It looks great what has been seen, especially if we consider that it is the Dead Cells formula, but now with everything that can bring Castlevania.
We Love Katamari ReRoll + Royal Reverie
Katamari is one of those games that remains in the collective imagination, so nothing better than getting a remastering of it with new additions, including new challenges in the form of a prequel. Not so bad. It will be available on PC on June 2 for all users.
Tron Identity
The visual novel based on the Tron universe will also come to PC next April. Under the name Tron: Identity we have an adventure where the conversational theme is the main protagonist when it comes to solving a mystery. The rest we will have to discover for ourselves.
Harmony: The Fall of Reverie
The people at Don’t Nod need no introduction at this point, right? The creators of Life is Strange return with an adventure that looks really good, especially thanks to a dreamlike graphic section where animation does almost everything. If we add to this the seal of guarantee that this studio provides in their stories, what we are left with is a narrative adventure that we are all going to enjoy a lot. The release of Harmony: The Fall of Reverie is scheduled for June.
Ghost Trick: Phantom Detective
We close this article with Ghost Trick: Phantom Detective. The videogame released for Nintendo DS will be published this summer on PC. The plot is already known: a detective with supernatural powers who must uncover murders and mysteries in this impressive thiller. And to top it off, with Shu Takumi, the director of Ace Attorney, as master of ceremonies.
Journalist specialized in videogames and technology. Almost two decades dedicated to it.
