Geely Galaxy TT is now official: starts at 129,900 yuan

Geely has taken the wraps off the Geely Galaxy TT in China. It’s an electric sedan with 800V charging, big range figures, and a fairly upscale feature list, and it starts at 129,900 yuan ($19,100) and runs to 185,900 yuan ($27,300) across five trims.

That puts the Galaxy TT right in the thick of China’s EV price war. It comes in about 100,000 yuan cheaper than the Xiaomi SU7, and it’s roughly half the price of a Tesla Model 3 sold in China. Geely says the car uses CATL Shenxing TT LFP batteries and supports charging speeds up to 6C. On paper, that means nearly 500 km of added range in 11 minutes. Range claims sit at 640 km CLTC with the 63.8 kWh pack, or as much as 725 km CLTC with the larger 75.2 kWh battery.

Geely isn’t pitching this only at bargain hunters, either. The company says the Galaxy TT will be available with either 245 kW rear-wheel drive or a dual-motor AWD setup making 425 kW, or 570 hp, with a claimed 0-100 km/h time of 3.8 seconds. There’s also Lotus chassis tuning, a 46 km wet-road drift demo, LiDAR-assisted driving, a long-wheelbase cabin, a 23-speaker Flyme Sound system, and a smart assistant. What isn’t clear yet is how much of that LiDAR hardware carries over to the base trim. Still, if you’re looking at electric sedans in China, this one has a real case, and Geely says more than 20,000 pre-orders in roughly two weeks back that up.

For now, the Geely Galaxy TT is only being offered in China.
