Gemini 3.7 Flash is out now: Google’s new coding workhorse

Just three weeks after Gemini 3.6 Flash, Google has rolled out Gemini 3.7 Flash, which it calls its new “most intelligent workhorse” model for coding and agents.

Google says Gemini 3.7 Flash is built for the kind of messy, multi-step work people throw at it every day: planning ahead, adjusting when something breaks, asking for clarification, using tools with fewer hiccups, and handling jobs like checking emails and documents, spotting conflicts, and turning those into action plans. By Google’s numbers, it also makes a noticeable jump over Gemini 3.6 Flash on FrontierCode 1.1 Main (43.6% vs. 34.4%), DeepSWE v1.1 (65.3% vs. 49.0%), GDP.pdf (34.0% vs. 22.0%), and AutomationBench (30.4% vs. 17.0%).

I’ve been testing Gemini 3.7 Flash on Workspace-style prompts, and it does feel like the dependable workhorse Google is pitching, even if it still slips now and then. If you use Gemini for coding, document-heavy office work, or automation, this looks like an update worth picking up. Google says pricing is $0.75 per million input tokens and $3.75 per million output tokens through the end of 2026, then $1.50 and $7.50 starting January 1, 2027.

Google says you can get Gemini 3.7 Flash right now in Gemini Spark for Pro and Ultra, Google’s developer studio, Android Studio, the Gemini Enterprise Agent Platform, and GitHub Copilot for Pro, Business, and Enterprise users.
