Chris Evans and Ana de Armas are two of the biggest Hollywood stars of the moment. They already worked together in Knives Out, and their chemistry was such that Dexter Fletcher, director of Rocketman, recruited them to star in Ghosted, a film that combines action, romance and comedy and promises to be the premiere of the week.

However, despite being a very striking premiere that has all the ingredients to become a blockbuster, in our country it is going quite unnoticed, and this is due to something in particular: its premiere is on Apple TV+.

Although it is increasingly becoming a popular platform, and series like Ted Lasso or Servant make many get hooked on it, it still does not have the favor of the international audience as Netflix or Amazon Prime Video does. Therefore, if you have doubts about whether it is worth it or not, there is no better way to test it than with the premiere of Ghosted.

What is behind ghosting?

Ghosted revolves around Cole Riggan (Evans), a country boy who falls madly in love with Sadie (De Armas) shortly after meeting her. But, just when he is ready to introduce her to his family and start something serious with her, Sadie “ghosts” him. She doesn’t answer his texts or return his calls.

This, which at first may seem typical of 21st century relationships, soon changes when the film takes a turn and becomes an action thriller. Behind ghosting there is sometimes something else, and in the case of Ghosted it is quite clear… although it is not usually the case.
