Gmail for Android is getting a minor improvement today with a cleaner, card-style conversation view. Previously, the app displayed long conversations in tiny bars, with an option to expand “Previous messages.” The new update will make it simpler by representing each person in the conversation with a card. This makes it easier to see who sent which message as well as making it easier to find the email you’re looking for.

Gmail for Android will also get a few design tweaks in this update. Checkmarks for multiple messages is more clear as to what you’re doing with the conversations. There’s options to mark it unread, delete, or archive emails in bulk.
The app will also notes when you’ve disabled Gmail syncing in the settings so that you don’t forget to re-enable it when you want to receive new messages.
The update will begin rolling out today.
