Artificial intelligence is the future. Zoom knows it, Slack knows it, and Microsoft knows it. Meta has been exploring this field for a while with Llama 2, and while Google has been dabbling in generative artificial intelligence with Bard and other applications, the information giant is now also offering a series of courses, both paid and free, on its platforms to provide quality training to users interested in artificial intelligence.

Google is no newcomer to the education scene. From its digital garage to its Google Skill Boost platform, the company has been offering various types of training, both free and paid, in multiple digital education fields for years, ranging from introductory app design to digital marketing. This time, likely with an eye on the future, Google has released a free course on artificial intelligence (Introduction to Generative Artificial Intelligence) along with a paid course (Generative Artificial Intelligence for Developers) aimed at professionals in the field.

This advanced path includes a series of AI Labs that can allow students to gain practical experience by working directly on the platform. These labs cover a range of topics, from an introduction to generative AI to exploring and evaluating models through Model Garden, among many others. The labs also cover the development of prompts using both Vertex and PaLM, as well as the integration of artificial intelligence into various applications, in addition to providing an introduction to all the necessary systems for these practices.

It’s important to note that the Generative Artificial Intelligence for Developers course is not free, and neither are the labs. These will need to be paid for using Google Cloud credits.

Collaboration with DeepLearning.AI

To carry out this project, Google has wanted to partner with the best. In order to offer the best learning service, the course “Understanding and Applying Text Embeddings with Vertex AI” will be led by the artificial intelligence expert Andrew Ng, and it will be completely free.
