Google rolls out Maps 7.0 for Android

Google has released version 7.0 of Google Maps for Android. The update will be gradually rolled out to Android 4.0.3 and above, and features a new interface design, better navigation and a new Explore feature.

The map has a new cleaner look, and has the new card interface for showing you search results over the map.
This new design was showcased at the Google I/O event in June, and Google Maps 7.0 is the first time we’re seeing it rolled out to devices.

Navigation now includes traffic updates, with incident reports and dynamic route changes. So if there’s a problem up ahead, Maps will now recalculate your route avoiding the accident or traffic jam.
