After updating Google Wallet to work on most Android devices, the search giant has released Google Wallet on iOS too. The update on both platforms removes the requirement for a phone with NFC (near field communication) built in, though those with NFC can still use it to tap and pay.

iOS users will enjoy all the features of the update app like sending money to friends, adding loyalty cards, and finding nearby deals. Google Wallet supports wiring money directly from your bank account or any credit card, though you’ll be charged a fee of 2.9% if you’re sending money using a credit card.

For security, Google requires users to enter a four-digit PIN number to use the app. If your phone is lost or stolen, Google Wallet can be disabled from a website so you don’t have to worry about unauthorized charges.
