The world of AI is boiling, and the big technology companies do not intend to be left behind. A few days ago, Google announced that this Wednesday, February 8, a new virtual event will take place in which we will be able to see the future of the company in relation to the development of new artificial intelligences.

The 40-minute event will revolve around “using the power of AI to reimagine the way people search, explore and interact with information, making finding what you need more natural and intuitive than ever before.” Want to know what time and where you can watch it? We’ll tell you.

The presentation of Google’s new AI in society

On Monday afternoon, Sundar Pichai surprised half the world by announcing Bard, Google’s future chatbot-like artificial intelligence based on LaMDA, a technology that has been developed by the technology giant in order to give automated answers to the questions you ask. A new tool that will be integrated into more than one Google application, including (obviously) its beloved search engine.

The announcement of this new AI is no coincidence, since it was an open secret that Google would announce an AI with which to confront the all-powerful ChatGPT, developed by OpenAI, and with a large investment by Microsoft (to the point that the company will include it in Bing and Edge). What we did not expect was that the announcement of this new AI would be made just two days before its virtual event, in which it is now clear who will be its protagonist.

The Google event will take place this Wednesday, February 8 on Google’s official YouTube channel. It will be at 14.30 in Spain (peninsular time), with an estimated duration of 40 minutes. Although we know that the content of the event will revolve around this new AI, we do not know if the company will have any other ace up its sleeve.
