GTA 6 pre-orders open June 25: PS5 and Xbox Series X|S confirmed

Rockstar says Grand Theft Auto 6 pre-orders will go live on June 25 for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, a few months ahead of the game’s November 19, 2026 release.

The latest update also leaves that November 19, 2026 launch date untouched. Take-Two Interactive CEO Strauss Zelnick has repeated it more than once, and Rockstar used the same update to show off the game’s official cover art for the first time, with the series’ familiar panel-style design.

What Rockstar didn’t reveal is the price, any special editions, collector’s bundles, or early-access bonuses. There’s still no official word on when, or if, a PC version will arrive.

For now, Rockstar has only confirmed Grand Theft Auto 6 as a day-one console release, even with industry chatter still pointing to a price of $70 or higher.

Grand Theft Auto 6 takes players back to Vice City in Leonida, Rockstar’s Florida-inspired setting, with Lucia and Jason leading a Bonnie-and-Clyde-style story. Rockstar said the game was “well underway” back in February 2022, and while Grand Theft Auto 6 slipped from an expected 2025 launch to late 2026, analysts still see huge demand coming.

Some forecasts go even bigger, putting day-one sales at more than 45 million copies.
