Rockstar continues to work on GTA VI, and fans can’t be more eager for the company to finally give some information about the new title in the series. At the moment, everything seems to point to the summer when we will know new information about the sixth main title of the saga. But that doesn’t mean we can’t get a glimpse of what we’ll see.
As they did with Los Santos from GTA: San Andreas, the TeaserPlay channel has imagined what the city of Vice City, the city in which everything seems to indicate that the game will be set, would look like with current technology. Using the Unreal Engine 5 and Epic’s Nanite and Lumen technologies for the lighting work, the developers have created a trailer of what a sequel to GTA: Vice City would look like.
What would a sequel to GTA: Vice City look like?
In the trailer we see Tommy Vercetti, the protagonist of Grand Theft Auto: Vice City which is based on the Scarface protagonist, returning to the city 37 years later. As he arrives he recalls the great times he had in the locations that all players will remember, and shows how the city has changed over time.
Although a sequel to Vice City does not seem to be on Rockstar’s horizon, as the next game will be set in this city, we could get to meet again with the remembered Tommy Vercetti. Of course, it would have to be without his original voice, as his voice actor, Ray Liotta, died in May 2022.
