Rockstar Games has launched a new Grand Theft Auto V related site, this time a parody social network called “Lifeinvader.” Rockstar has a history of creating parody sites to build hype for a game like the Los Santos & Blaine County Visitors Travelogue, which lets users explore the world of GTA V.
Lifeinvader is the game’s parody of Facebook, featuring a striking similarity with the social network. Every time you visit the site, you will be greeted with a random profile of a Los Santos citizen. Their hilarious bio is located on the left and updates are featured in the center column. There’s even sponsored ads to the right, which mimic Facebook’s recently updated, bigger ads. There are a bunch of subtle digs at Facebook, calling followers “stalkers” and even adding a “Stalk” button to the top of the page.
