In just a few days we will have with us Hogwarts Legacy, the new title from Avalanche Studios based on the Harry Potter universe, will be released this February 10, on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, Xbox One and PC, although owners of a Deluxe edition will be able to play the game three days earlier, on February 7.
After several months of waiting, in which we have seen several trailers and videos about what awaits us in this open world game, a few days ago the launch trailer was released, where we have seen new details, such as the strange ability that our character will have to “see whispers of ancient magic“ and the incredible fights against creatures and other wizards.
Whether you’re facing enemies or exploring the magical world of Hogwarts Legacy, you’ll need a wand with which to cast spells. Each wand is unique, and in the Harry Potter saga we are told that they choose the wizard, not the other way around. The visible part of the wand is made from very special trees, and its cores are composed of very different parts of magical creatures, each one more fantastic than the next.
In Hogwarts Legacy, we will have two ways to get our wand. On the one hand, we will have the possibility of choosing our wand after going through the Selection Ceremony, where we will choose the Hogwarts house to which we will belong. After choosing our house, we will also have the option to choose our wand, although at the moment it is unknown how this process will be.
On the other hand, we will have the option to create our wand through the Wizarding World website. Once we have created our account on the website, we can perform a series of simple tests that will decide which is our house, the animal of our Patronus and also the wand that best suits us. Best of all, if we link our Wizarding World and Warner Bros. Games accounts, we can import this data into the game once it is in our possession.
Be that as it may, it is important to note that once we have our wand we will not be able to change it. Just as in the books and movies the wands are unique and non-transferable (with the only exception of the Elder Wand), the wand you get at the beginning of your adventures will be with you until the end, so if you want to have another one you will have to start a new game.
