There is less than a month left before we can cast expelliarmus and other slightly more lethal spells with our wand. Hogwarts Legacy is out in all its glory on February 10 (let’s pray there isn’t a last-minute delay), and we’ll (finally) be able to explore Hogwarts, its surroundings, and other locations in the magical universe.
With the vast amount of content that has been promised to users, many will want to know more details, such as the extent of the world map and how long it will take to not only finish the game, but also get everything and complete it to 100%. While much of the data we know of has been shared by the developers themselves, some, however, has recently been released without their approval.
“Reveal your secrets”
A Twitter user by the name of Bigby leaked a few days ago some interesting information about the video game that can be found in the art book, which strangely was in his possession despite the fact that it will be published after the game was launched. Although the tweets where he shared the information have already been removed, the data is safe in a Reddit post.
According to the data in the art book, a user who wants to beat the game will take about 35 hours. Figure that would double, up to 70 hours, if we wanted to get all the extras and secrets of the game. Obviously, it is up to each user to dedicate more or less time to the game, but it is an estimate that will help more than one to get an idea of the time they will have to spend playing.

The leaks have also allowed us to know much of the Hogwarts map. Until now, the developers had only shared a small fragment of the map, but we did not know more details about it. Due to its composition, we could assume that we would still have to see a large part of the general map of the game.
In addition, other minor details of the game have been revealed, such as that the famous lethal spell, Avada kedavra, will have to be unlocked in a side mission; that the side quests have a lot of content and are interesting, and that there are up to 100 Merlin puzzles throughout the game, which will test all our magical abilities.
Controversy on Twitter
The shadow of controversy will always hang over Hogwarts Legacy. If a few days ago we already discussed the image problems that the game has due to J. k. Rowling, who has shown her rejection of transsexual people on several occasions, today is one of her actors who has been affected. And, yes, also because of Rowling.
“”Queer people have always been here” includes trans people. I only reminded you because you apparently forgot what your own motto stands for,” @transisawesome told actor Sebastian Croft, who voices the game’s protagonist (one of several that can be selected). A criticism that apparently comes from his participation in a game based on the world of J. k. Rowling.
The actor responded, explaining that he joined the development of the game 3 years ago with the illusion of entering the magical world of Harry Potter, and before he found out what Rowling really thinks. He also took the opportunity to apologize to those people whom he may have annoyed with his participation in the game, and wanted to emphasize that “there is no LGB without the T” (“transsexuals”).
Both Avalanche, the developer studio, and Warner Bros. Games have always denied the involvement of J. k. Rowling in the project, completely disassociating himself from his statements and ideas. However, part of the public thinks that the video game is still linked to the writer, since she will receive part of the income obtained from the game, by way of copyright.
