If you haven’t upgraded to the new iPhone operating system yet, then might I suggest you drop whatever you’re doing and do it now. The new iOS 4.0 will make your iPhone or ipod touch an altogether sweeter machine. Upgrading will add new functionality to your device, giving it many of the features of the sexy new iPhone 4.

Installing the new iPhone OS

To upgrade, you must first ensure that you have version 9.2 of iTunes installed on your computer.

iOS1

Connect your iPhone or iPod touch and click on its name in the Devices section of iTunes (on the right-hand side of the interface).

iOS2

With the Summary tab selected, click on the Update button to download iOS 4.0.

iOS3

Wait a few minutes while iTunes downloads and installs the new operating system, then you’re ready to go!

iOS4
