At the beginning of 2022, Heart Machine announced the development of Hyper Light Breaker, a video game that continued in the wake of its predecessor, Hyper Light Drifter. Gearbox Publishing, the company in charge of editing it, showed us an impressive animated and colorful trailer where we saw shots, swords, jumps and everything. However, we did not witness any playable material. Until now.
The studio has pulled out of the hat a new trailer full of gameplay. And yes, it is spectacular and looks great. From what we can see, we make the leap to 3D with a roguelike component. In addition, the movement is agile and frenetic, which is more reminiscent of Solar Ash than Hyper Light Drifter (Solar Ash was the second game developed by the studio).
According to the information shared, we will have Early Access on Steam during the fall of this year. It should be noted that it was scheduled for April, so it suffers a delay of about six months approximately. Similarly, the world in which everything takes place is called Overgrowth, a constantly evolving area where each death changes our environment.
After the good work that this studio has done with its two previous works, the desire to take the glove to Hyper Light Breaker is higher than ever. It’s time for it to deliver, but it’s certainly aiming to do so.
