Silvestro, who is inspired by his own hobby of searching for clovers in real life, decided to make the search easier in the game to avoid frustrations. Although the initial appearance rate of four-leaf clovers was 1 in 2,000, the developer opted for a more accessible rate after receiving feedback from players during testing. “I didn’t want to stress the players,” Silvestro mentioned while explaining his decision.

The game incorporates a clever hint system, where players can discover ladybugs that act as indicators of the proximity of the coveted four-leaf clover. This aid can be disabled, allowing the bravest to enjoy a greater challenge by applying search techniques based on observing patterns in the leaves.

Silvestro shared his approach on how to find four-leaf clovers, indicating that observing patterns can be more efficient than checking each clover individually. “If you step back and scan the field, you can detect the change in the pattern and locate a four-leaf clover quickly,” he explained.
