Indigo Prophecy joins PlayStation Plus Premium on July 21: the PS2 classic is coming to PS5 and PS4

Sony is adding Indigo Prophecy to the PlayStation Plus Premium Classics Catalog for PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4 on July 21, 2026. That brings Quantic Dream’s 2005 supernatural thriller, released as Fahrenheit outside North America, back to modern consoles through PlayStation Plus Premium.

Premium subscribers will be getting the original PlayStation 2 version through Sony’s newer emulation software, not a remake or a traditional remaster. It joins another PS2-era catalog addition, Psi-Ops: The Mindgate Conspiracy. Sony is also including up-rendering, rewind and quick saves, and video filters, which should make Indigo Prophecy’s rougher 2005 design a little easier to come back to while also keeping an important older game playable on current hardware.

If you want to see where cinematic, choice-driven adventure games began before Heavy Rain, Beyond: Two Souls, and Detroit: Become Human, this one’s still worth downloading. It’s influential and divisive in about equal measure, following Lucas Kane, detectives Carla Valenti and Tyler Miles, and a freezing New York murder case that opens the story before spiraling into a supernatural conspiracy. Just go in expecting a brilliant opening, a messy second half, lots of quick-time events, and a few story beats that haven’t aged well.
