Invincible – Superhero Roleplaying is out now: create your own heroes

Free League Publishing and Skybound Entertainment released Invincible – Superhero Roleplaying on July 30, 2026. It’s a tabletop RPG built around Robert Kirkman’s Invincible universe.

Free League is publishing it with Skybound, and the game runs on an adapted version of the Year Zero Engine. The big draw is that you’re not locked into replaying Mark Grayson’s story. You can make original heroes of your own, then throw them into fast fights, story-heavy campaigns, and the kind of ugly personal fallout that gives Invincible its edge.

According to Free League Publishing, the $29.99 Starter Set comes with a condensed rulebook, custom dice, maps, the “Metro Mayhem” adventure, and pre-generated characters such as Invincible, Atom Eve, and Rex Splode. The Core Rulebook goes further, adding full hero creation, more setting material, close to 70 superpowers, and a solo Crisis Mode for people who want to play without a Gamemaster.

Early reviews have been strong, especially when it comes to how closely Invincible – Superhero Roleplaying sticks to the feel of the comics and the show. If you want an easy way into tabletop RPGs, or you’re already following Invincible through games like Invincible Presents: Atom Eve and Invincible: Guarding the Globe, this one looks like a good pickup.
