Apple just released a minor update to iOS 8. Version 8.1.1 brings bug fixes, performance improvements and stability, especially for older devices like the iPad 2 and iPhone 4.

Users hoping for bigger changes will have to look elsewhere. iOS 8.1.1 doesn’t bring any improvements to Apple Maps or splitscreen multitasking that’s rumored to be coming. These features may come in a future version of iOS 8 though.

iOS 8.1.1 is now available to download over the air. To get the update, open the Settings app and look under General. Tap on Software Update and you’ll see the update ready to download. It’s around 65MB for iPhones but a whopping 346MB for iPads.
