iPhone 15 is getting closer, and rumors are pouring out. The latest of them tells us that the two cheapest models of Apple’s future mobile: iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus, would include a new module for its rear camera, also known as bump. “Don’t quote me, but new camera bump,” says on his Twitter account ShrimpApplePro, a well-known Apple-related news tipster.

Such data is not trivial, since the change in the rear module of the future iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus would imply the change or the addition of new elements, such as new and better sensors, or even the existence of an additional camera on the back, such as a telephoto lens.

In addition, this new rumor would be in line with existing rumors that claimed that the future iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus would have exactly the same camera as the iPhone 14 Pro and Pro Max, the high-end models of the latest iPhone. This camera includes a 48 Mpx sensor, which would far exceed the 12 Mpx offered by iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Plus, the cheapest models of the mobile.

A change that could be due to a very simple reason: the low sales of iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Plus were a real disappointment for Apple, so the company would have learned from its mistake and would try to give added value to the cheaper models of the new iPhones, while monetizing the cameras of the models that sold less.

Another rumor about future iPhone 15 models claimed that the most expensive model of the handset (it is unknown whether it will be Pro Max or an even more expensive model) will include a periscopic camera in its rear module, which will allow a higher quality optical zoom. Such a camera would also be included in the even more distant iPhone 16, which Apple fans can only dream about.
