The anticipation surrounding Apple’s upcoming release is at its peak as the company is on the verge of unveiling the iPhone 15 lineup. However, some rumors are not forecasting good news for the iPhone 15 Pro Max.

Possible delays, although minor

According to an analyst cited by 9to5Mac, it appears that Sony, the supplier of camera parts and components for the new iPhones, may not be able to deliver the required volume of image sensors for the iPhone 15 Pro Max on time. This situation could potentially lead to delays in shipping and availability of the high-end model until October.

One of the most significant changes for this iPhone generation is the camera upgrade, featuring the inclusion of a periscope lens system in the iPhone 15 Pro Max. This technology would enable greater optical zoom, surpassing the current 3x limit and potentially reaching 6x or even 10x. Delays in the production of this crucial component could, as per the rumors, impact deliveries of this model.

In the meantime, although the other models – iPhone 15, iPhone 15 Plus, and iPhone 15 Pro – will include camera enhancements, these do not rely on the components facing delays. Thus, Apple would continue its usual schedule with these models.

Emphasizing that we are discussing rumors and that Apple may have resolved the challenges even before the delay information leaked, this isn’t the first time the company has faced such logistical hurdles. In previous years, certain iPhone models like the iPhone XR, iPhone 14 Plus, and iPhone 12 Pro Max arrived in stores weeks after their counterparts.

Undoubtedly, the release of the iPhone 15 lineup promises truly exciting innovations. Nonetheless, rumors about delays in the delivery of the iPhone 15 Pro Max don’t seem capable of casting any shadow over one of the most anticipated launches in recent years and, undoubtedly, the most celebrated event of the year. We will see how the events unfold.
