Stranger Things is About to Bid Farewell: Netflix‘s Iconic Series to Conclude in Fifth Season, Wrapping Up the Terrifying Tale of Hawkins and the Fate of Its Beloved Characters
In fact, Joe Keery, the actor who portrays Harrington, has given some hints about the series finale, as well as how he feels about it. During an interview with Women’s Wear Daily, conducted before the actors’ strike, the actor made it clear that the ending feels very close and that, whether we like it or not, we should be prepared for it.
A Closed Ending
“It seems like the time has come, though it won’t be easy for it to end,” Harrington says. “My entire career owes itself to being in this series, and all the opportunities I’ve had since then are because of Stranger Things. So, it’s very complex. There’s a sense of relief, but there’s also a sense of sadness,” he adds.
“I think my goal is to soak up as much as I can while we’re doing it, and not take anything for granted because it’s been an incredible journey with such wonderful people,” he has also explained. “And then, once it’s done, move forward and try to hold onto the joy we had when we were making it. … Everything has a beginning, middle, and an end. It will also be good to have the end of this.”

The actor has also taken the opportunity to make it clear that the series finale will be full of surprises, but that ultimately everything will be brought to a place where it will all be wrapped up and packaged. In this way, it is clear that the fifth season will be the definitive end for the series… unless they create spin-offs.
