As well as the exotic, sometimes inconsistently applied English accents of TV show Game of Thrones, you also have to wrestle with subtitles when characters speak the fictional language Dothraki. No more, as you can use a new app to learn the language yourself.

The Dothraki Companion is a $3.99 app for iPhone and iPad that teaches you the language of the Dothraki. The language was developed by David J. Peterson, who also wrote this app. Like other, arguably more practical language apps, Dothraki Companion features interactive games, flashcards, grammar, and conversations for you to practice. The app accompanies the Living Language Dothraki book and audio course, and the Living Language Dothraki Expanded Online Course.

If learning a language stretches your dedication to George R.R. Martin’s fantasy series, you could instead play the strategy RPG Game of Thrones Ascent. It’s a free to play game, but despite that, it offers a rich recreation of the politics of Westeros. It’s available for iOS and Android.
