LinkedIn mobile apps get new look

If you’re job searching, you probably know how crucial networking is. That’s what makes professional social networks like LinkedIn so important. With the ability to publish your full resume online, as well as receive recommendations from former co-workers and supervisors, LinkedIn can be a truly useful resource for job searchers.

Unfortunately, LinkedIn’s mobile apps were lacking the features users had come to expect from the web version of the social networking site. Until now, that is!

LinkedIn Home ShotLinkedIn has recently announced a comprehensive revamp of its mobile apps for iPhone and Android. This includes the introduction of a feature known as LinkedIn Today, a news service for business professionals to keep up with topics that are relevant to their professional lives. In addition, the mobile apps have had a complete layout redesign to make them more focused, faster and helpful to users. This appears to be an effort to make LinkedIn more of a daily use app, similar to Twitter or Facebook.

LinkedIn’s new interface is pretty slick, with its version of a newsfeed across the top of the app and the ability to access all of your account information in no more than two clicks. And if using a mobile app isn’t really your thing, that’s fine too. Along with these major mobile app revamps, LinkedIn has also launched a mobile HTML5 version of its online service to make navigating their website from a mobile browser even easier.
