One good news and one… not so good. The first: Magic Eraser, the popular Google Pixel editing tool that lets you remove unwanted elements from photos is coming to Android and iOS. Good, right? The bad news is that it will cost you money.

As announced by Google on its blog, Magic Eraser will be part of the benefits of Google One, its subscription service. In addition to using this editing tool, Google One subscribers will also be able to access other features for editing images and videos, including various collage styles and a new HDR video effect.

Google One DOWNLOAD

At the time, Google One was a subscription service that allowed you to pay to expand the storage capacity in your Google account, in order to save more documents, images or emails, for example. Little by little, Google One has added a multitude of useful features, such as a VPN, longer video calls in Google Meet or premium functions in Google Photos (including Magic Eraser).

Magic Eraser was a utility exclusive to Google Pixel 6 and 7 phones, but now it will be available to all Google One subscribers, both on Android and iOS. The tool differs from other third-party apps in that it is included in the main Photos app on the mobile device, so it saves a great deal of time for users who just want to remove a person in the background of a group photo with friends, for example.

Another of the added tools, the HDR video effect, would help us to balance dark foregrounds in videos with brighter backgrounds, or the other way around. In addition, new styles are included in the Google Photos collage editor, as well as the ability to apply a style to a single photo in the collage.

A tool that works thanks to AI and that we could see in the future implemented in Bard, Google’s new artificial intelligence. If you are interested in knowing more about this AI, do not miss our article where we explain how you can try it.
