Marvel Snap, the trendy card video game from the creator of Hearthstone, continues to grow with new updates that seek to optimize the game experience. Every month it receives a patch in which the best cards are updated and the game strategies are optimized, but the last of these updates has been the most awaited.

Since the game’s release, most players have missed being able to compete against their friends. While the random match mode is very satisfying, there was no option to do battles against colleagues, but that has finally changed.

In its latest patch, Marvel Snap has added the PvP Friendly Battle Mode, which allows you to play against people you know. To enter this mode you must go to Game Modes, which is located at the bottom right of the menu, and click on the button. You can then choose to create a game or join one. If you create one, you will be given a code that must be exchanged with the other player and you will both join the game.

It is important to say that these battles do not rank or serve to gain power-ups, they are purely for entertainment, but it is certainly a great opportunity to practice, try different decks and unique strategies. The cosmic cubes that are used to rank up in normal games are exchanged for health points. In addition, the games are added one after another, so you can compete in several battles.

New changes in the Marvel Snap update

Beyond the PVP Friendly Battle Mode, new changes have been added in the January 31, 2023 update. The first of these changes is that Zabu, the premium card from last season pass, becomes Pool 5, so it will be available without paying real money, simply in the token store.

They have also nerfed Leader, one of the most used cards in the game, and buffed Wolverine, which will now be a bit more useful. In the case of Leader, although it raises its base power from 6 to 7, it goes from copying all the cards played by the opponent on your side to only on the right location, which makes it not so broken.

As for Wolverine, he now regenerates in the same way but with +2 extra power, which will make him a much more fearsome opponent. The reason why his power has been increased is, according to the creators, that “it’s a shame that almost nobody uses it, as iconic as it is”. Adamantium is certainly back in fashion among Marvel Snap players.

Some system and text errors have also been corrected (since many translations were not well localized). The game continues to grow and seems to have no limits. Undoubtedly, something it deserves being a Marvel title.
